Begin your temple journey at the iconic Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument. The awe-inspiring grandeur of Angkor Wat with its intricate carvings and towering structures was a testament to the ingenuity and spiritual devotion of the Khmer people which perhaps gives you a sense of wonder and reverence while exploring around. Jus a short ride away, step into Angkor Thom, the last capital of Khmer Empire, where you can snap incredible shots of Bayon Temple’s iconic smiling faces. It also contains stunning architectural marvels such as Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, and many more. After lunch, head to Ta Prohm, known as the “Jungle Temple” where many walls and structures have been smothered by huge fig and silk-cotton trees grow over the ancient stone structures. This mystical atmosphere of this place offers a one-of-a-kind backdrop that feels like stepping into a hidden world, especially gives you a sense of adventure – a real Indiana Jone vibe! This area served as a filming location for the 2001 movie, Tomb Raider.
